Since the 5th century, composers have drawn inspiration from nature, weaving its sounds into their music. Ali Morrison explores the history of nature-themed music, from Gregorian Chant to modern compositions that blend wildlife recordings with traditional instruments. You'll also learn about the emerging field of 'Sound Ecology,' which uses recordings to track wildlife migration and species loss, highlighting the impact of climate change on our planet.

Refreshments will be served.
