Update on FCSS

Mar. 30, 2020

We wanted to update you on what we are offering during this pandemic.  The blue building may be closed, but staff are working diligently on providing supports to residents. Here is how we can help:

  • access to food
  • housing support
  • information on provincial and federal financial assistance programs
  • supportive counselling and referrals
  • parenting support
  • activities for children, youth and families
  • taking orders for Meals for Your Freezer
  • connecting you to our Volunteer Income Tax Program (Subject to financial eligibility. Note Canada Revenue Agency extended deadline to June 1, 2020 for individual 2019 returns.)

You can also book a one on one appointment with a worker (via phone or virtual) for further support. Call our office at 403-851-2250 and leave a voice message regarding what type of support you are looking for (essential needs, parenting etc.), and a worker will return your call.  We are working on a different phone system and hope to be answering live calls in the near future.
