Local Author Reading

Every second Tuesday of the month, the Cochrane Public Library hosts an intimate evening with a published local author! Be entertained, hear a reading, ask questions, and get a book signed during these fun and informative events. Light refreshments will be served.

  • Tue Feb 13 @ 7:00pm-8:30pm Author: Warren Harbeck Longtime “slice of life” columnist for the Cochrane Eagle newspaper
  •  Tue Mar 13 @ 7:00pm-8:30pm  Author: Greg Axelson Collection of photos taken while touring North America by motorcycle
  • Tue Apr 10 @ 7:00pm-8:00pm Author: Kathleen Smith Entertaining history of ranching life throughout the last century
  • Thurs Apr 19 @ 7:00pm-8:00pm Author: Elinor Florence Author of Wildwood, a novel about a single mother who must live in an abandoned farmhouse in northern Alberta
  • Tue May 8 @ 6:30pm-7:30pm (Note new time) Author: Barbie-Jo Smith  Author of five books based on real-life experiences and winner of the National Poetry Contest
  • Thurs May 17 @ 6:30pm-7:30pm  Author: Dale Portman Author of three books about working in the mountains of western Canada. This program will be broadcast as part of the RISE Network programming
