How to use your Mac Computer

The Mac Computer workshop leader, Jack Blair, would like to ask that you Do Not Upgradeyour Mac operating system (macOS) with the update that will be issued by Apple on September 25th.  It is called macOS 10.13 (High Sierra).

While this new version has many nice new features, there is a key change coming with it called the Apple File System (APFS).  This is a very significant change to all the file management with Macs and, in Jack’s opinion, the potential for initial problems is high. He will not be upgrading his Mac for a couple of months.

Please ensure that you have only up to macOS 10.12.6 (Sierra) on your computer when you come to the workshop.  Jack suggests that you ensure that your automatic update feature on your Mac is turned off for now.
