Internet Explorer offers a
feature called Favorites which lets you put frequently visited Web sites
into an easy to use location so you won’t need to remember addresses or type
information.
How to Add a Web Page to
Favorites
-
on Internet, go to
the page you would like to add to Favorites
-
on the Favorites
menu, click on Add to Favorites
-
in the Add
Favorite box, Internet Explorer automatically enters a name for the page
but if you want to choose a
different name, type in the name and click
OK
How to go to a Web Page on
the Favorite List

on the Favorites
menu, click the link to the Web page you want to visit
-
if you’ve already organized
folders, on Favorites menu, point to the folder first, then the link
How to Arrange Sites
Alphabetically
-
right click anywhere
on the Favorites menu when it is dropped down

on the menu that opens,
click Sort by Name
How to Remove a Web Page
from Favorites
-
this is useful for deleting
sites you no longer visit or for links that are no longer available
-
on the Favorites
menu, right click the link that you want to remove from the list
-
on the menu that opens,
click Delete
How to Organize Web Pages
into Folders
-
favorite Web pages
can be organized into separate folders for each category or topic
-
on the Favorites menu, click
Organize Favorites then click Create Folder
-
type a name for the folder
(to replace highlighted text “new folder”) and then press Close
-
to move Web pages to
the new folder, under Organize Favorites, click on the Web page from the list then click on
Move to Folder

click on the
appropriate folder and then click OK when you are finished

to rename a folder, on the
Favorites menu right click the folder you want to rename
-
on the menu that opens,
click Rename (near bottom of list), type new name and click
OK
How to Remove a Web Page
from a Folder

on the Favorites
menu, point to folder where the Web page you want to remove is stored

right click the link
to the page that you want to remove from the list

caution: when you
delete a folder, Internet Explorer removes the folder and the links to all the Web pages stored in
that folder
